The United States is one of the richest and most developed nations in the world. However, social inequality isan issue that affects certain parts of the country, and about five million children go to bed hungry every night due to economic problems and tofaulty food production and distribution networks.

With VV you will bein the heart of Georgetown, in the country’s capital. Washington D.C. stands out due to the large number of monuments that commemorate some of the most important personages and events in the history of the country. A true open-air museum! Beyond absorbing the culture and knowledge in one of the most important capitals of the world, you will be a volunteer at a center that provides shelter and assistance to the homeless of the USA.

You will learn about the mission and the services of theNGO and will receive orientation in order tobean effective member of the team, being able to participate directly and thus making a positive difference in the daily lives of the homeless ofWashington. While participating in this experience, you will certainly be inspired by the strong sense of community between the employees, the volunteers and the homeless persons.

Period: minimum of 7 days

Age: minimum of 16, minors between 12 and 15 years can be volunteers ifaccompanied by a responsible adult.
