Helping the impoverished children of Kabul through skateboarding!
Afghanistan Helping the impoverished children of Kabul through skateboarding! In Afghanistan, VV offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the children of Kabul, one of the capitals with the harshest living conditions in today’s world, through one of the most creative and fun social projects ever invented. The project is financed by skateboarding’s multinationals and occupies a huge hangar belonging to Afghanistan’s Olympic Committee, located right in the center of Afghanistan’s capital. A team of dozens of volunteers hailing from varied parts of the world tends to hundreds of impoverished boys and girls from Kabul, providing them with access to first-rate entertainment, food and education. Inside the hangar ceded by the Olympic Committee a huge skate park was built, up to par with any first world country. A unique opportunity to interact with young and sports-minded volunteers from all over the world, local afghans who work with the project and the children who receive basic and advanced classes of skating, ecology, citizenship, English and computing at the NGO’s headquarters. Have fun in the world’s largest skate park, live in an eclectic and exciting community of international volunteers and help in the education of impoverished minors from a city devastated by a sad history of wars.
